Hi guys,

New here, only found the forum after I had a problem on my ipad so hopefully will enjoy reading and contributing to the forum from now on.

I was wondering if anybody could help?

I was downloading an app and it crashed before it even started and there is no way of deleting it. When it press down the app to get it shaking to move, no cross appears to delete.

Thanks in advance.

post number two, got to have three posts before I can link to the screen shot :)

Had one like that a couple of months ago.

I initially dragged it to the last page and forgot about it.
Then the OS upgrade saw it's complete departure.

Since the next OS upgrade is already at beta 3 it shouldn't be with you much longer.
Apols that I can't be more helpful.

Cheers,

I have just updated the OS (hadn't done it for a couple of months) and it's gone. It wasn't a biggie but just annoying!

Hi,
I downloaded Dockstogo on my macbook and ipad. whatever I tried, synchronised, It will not open.

Who can be of assistance?

The app has experienced downloading problems. It won't open be cause it isn't there yet. Make sure you have a good internet connection and tap on it once. I should resume download, or go into the App Store on the iPad, go to Updates and choose Update all, if it is available.

If not, then go to iTunes, Applications, and choose update all. Make sure the app is updating by checking downloads. After it has updated sync your iPad. The app should be there and avialble, but to be on the safe side with all those problems power you iPad off and on before trying to run the app again.

If you do not already have your iPad set up to sync to iTunes, scratch the previous iTunes advice and come back for more detailed instructions.

Edit: Sigh, in a hurry and didn't notice that the problem was already solved. Not that I'd wish it otherwise, the problem solved that is.

Part of the update process includes a total shut down of the iPad. You don't have to wait for an update in order to get rid of an app that is 'waiting'. Some times when you update an app or purchase a new app, if something gets in the way of this process, the app in question will end up waiting.

The best solution is to press and hold the sleep button down until you get the slider to power off. Slide to off. Wait a couple of seconds, then press and hold down the sleep button until you get the white Apple logo, wait until you get the unlock (if you set that up). This action should delete the 'waiting' app. Then start the install again.
