How can I reliably airprint from iPad to HP B210a

Usually AirPrint from iPad to printer doesn't work. Occasionally, after reboot of iPad for example, printing works just fine for a while, even if printer/iPad turned off and on. But later, iPad alerts "sending to printer" and nothing gets printed, or, more often, just fails to find anything to connect to. Rebooting etc etc fails to fix usually. The printer has a good connection to my wifi network, it says, with an Airport Extreme Base Station. All updates are installed.

So I have, at best, fickle AirPrinting!
This is frustrating as I bought this printer just because it was said to be able to AirPrint,
Any suggestions, before I give AirPrint away?
