Help Locating - Tripod mount for a Ipad 2. Being a photographer I'm looking for a midle t upper end quality mount.

Also, I'm also looking for a Fluid movement style mount for video work with the ipad 2.

Thanks in advance The Photog

I doubt there is one yet. The product has been on the market for less than two months, and this is a pretty nitchy accessory.

Personally I'm thinking JB Weld a couple of spring loaded clamps (with soft grippers) and a spare camera mount. Might need an aluminum bar too, and a tap and die to thread it for the camera mount's bolt.

Yeah, I'd try modifying an existing hard case with the assembly for a tripod mount. Little glue and it should all work fine.

I took the time to draw out what I had in mind. The clamps would just be those cheap grip clamps you can find in most hardware stores.

Chances are the results would be almost as ugly as my quick sketch, but functional I think.

This the link you wanted to post?

Manfrotto 175F Justin Spring Clamp with Flash Shoe 175F-1 B&H

It looks like it has little rubber bumper grips that should work well.

It also looks like it can be clamped pretty tight. You'd want to be cautious about how much pressure you applied to the glass surface. No cranking it for all you are worth.

It has a flash shoe adaptor. There is probably something to adapt it to various camera mount types. If not, there are certainly enough other holes and projections that you could find some way of attaching it.

Just do a search for Bodelin ProPrompter HDi.

ProPrompter iPad Bracket*

Use the ProPrompter iPad Bracket to attach to your tripod for off-camera or live-stage prompting. Attaches to any 1/4"-20 tripod mount or plate and securely holds your iPad.

It is for the iPad, not the iPad 2 which is slightly smaller and thinner. Be prepared to add a little padding to make it fit snugly.

iPad 2
Height: 9.50 inches (241.2 mm)
Width: 7.31 inches (185.7 mm)
Depth: 0.34 inch (8.8 mm)

iPad 1
Height: 9.56 inches
Width: 7.47 inches
Depth: 0.5 inch

Do you think I better wait for the iPad 2 version?
