I'm new, I did a search of the forum and don't see an answer. I have an iPad2. I have a number of video's that the iPad is telling me are too large to e-mail and I can't put them on YouTube. How can I get them out of the ipad and onto my windows computer?

Thanks in advance!

Exactly the same way as you transfer or delete large numbers of photos.
Connect the iPad to the Windows PC using a USB cable. The iPad will appear in Windows Explorer under "My Computer" as a device (called whatever your iPad is called). You will have access to the camera roll and only the camera roll which is where all photos and videos are stored. Just copy them within Windows Explorer and if you want delete them off the iPad once they are copied.

Perfect! Thank you very much!

I have a similar problem.
I wish to get movies that are in the "video player" (iPad2) to my PC?
They will not drag/drop or cut and paste into the PC via iTunes, or windows explorer.
Any help thanks!

I am not familiar with that app. Is it the stock Video app or a third party video player?

Hi Dh…777
The app is standard.
Simply called Videos.
Videos or movies in this app do not appear in windows explorer when connected via USB.
Only videos or photos in camera roll appear in windows explorer.
Thus I cannot use that method.
Many thanks.

Anything in the Video app had to be put there from somewhere else, either synced from iTunes or downloaded from iTunes Store. If the former, the video in question should already be in your iTunes library. If the latter, you could probably have the purchase synced back to the iTunes library.

How the the video in question originally get there?

Hi DH …777
Thanks for your interest.
The videos were put into the iPad whilst it was open in iTunes.
I simply dragged them into the iPad "Films" section, from a PC desktop.
They did not get there via the library.
Alas they will not simply drag out again.
In the meantime I have found an old program that I used a couple of years ago to move music out of an iPod.
By a miracle it worked on the iPad.
It does what I want.
It is called:
Media Widget - Easy iPod Transfer Software.
Another one I discovered is called:
X-ipad-to-PC-transfer-124187.
I have not tried this one, and it seems to have some restrictions.
DH …777 big thanks for your interest.
