Hashtags work on Twitter app or with Safari?

Twitter hashtags seem not to work when using Safari or Twitter app. Am I wrong? They work fine with Windows Firefox on PC.

I use Twitter on iPad, iPhone and Mac, using apps and Safari interchangeably. Never had a problem with hashtags. If they re not working for you, it might be worth uninstalling and reinstalling the app, although that's not going to help with Safari. All I can suggest there is a reboot.

The first time I heard this

The iPad hashtags do work on Twitter but the # symbol doesn't light up to indicate this on the iPad. Thus my confusion. Thanks to all.
