Has anyone successfully transferred movies using cam kit from pc to ipad

I was coming home from london the other day and I saw someone watching movies on their ipad3 and it was movies he transferred , i didnt ask him how he done it as i thought it would be simple , but how do i get movies from pc to ipad with camera connection kit , do i put the movies onto a sd card or usb stick and what else is the procedure when you put them onto either a stick or sd card. Could you be so kind as in if you know how to do it would you tell me how in laymens terms , thanks ever so much.

Hanbrake is your best bet, do a search on here theres loads of info about it, basically it rips your dvds to your computer then you put them into your itunes then sync it to your ipad.
