Greetings from Vancouver!

Hello my name is Anne; I drank the "Apple Kool-Aid" long ago, own a few Apple products (iBook, MacBook, Mini, etc) and am interested in purchasing an iPAD2. Reading on the train is my choice of commuting entertainment, but am finding my iPhone 3g a little hard on the eyes.

I’m hoping to tether the iPad to my iPhone, although there seems to be conflicting opinions about whether this can be done or not. Hopefully Apple can solve this mystery. I look forward to reading the members suggestions, problem solving, comments and general sharing of tablet wisdom.

Hello Anne....I also live in Vancouver. I have an iPad 2 and do not use, nor know if you even can tether it, however, both Telus and Rogers,perhaps other providers, have a monthly iPad data plan for $15. It may not be what you are looking for, however it works fine for me when I am not around a WiFi hotspot or home network....good luck.

I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Connecting iPhone to ipad

Thanks for the welcome.

@gramjet. Hey fellow Vancouverite. Just bought the 64 gb black ipad2 and I'm using my ancient iPhone's 3G (telus 500mb data plan) as my connection. It's tethered via bluetooth. You might want to try it.
