Old Mac user, new iPad owner. I waited until the 3G came out to take the plunge. Glad I waited, although AT&T's crummy lack of 3G coverage (EDGE only) in my area is the only real gripe I have right now. EDGE is abysmally slow. I'm loading apps and learning to use the touch screen (fat fingers don't help). This is a nice piece of equipment. It draws a crowd whenever I fire it up outside my home.
As others have pointed out ad nauseam, multitasking and print function friendliness would really elevate this tool if or when they're offered. Even without it, I look for a long and lovely relationship with it.
