Google chat app?

Can anyone recommend a good app for using Google chat? I've searched the App Store and not sure if any of them are useful.

Thank you! I'll try a search on the topic. I did download the iPad 2 manual from the book store and have read it.
For some reason I cannot type in the reply box from the app for this forum. I have to do so from the web-based site for this forum. Why is this?

It seems to have gone away, now! lol I have NO clue why I could not type on either screen at first. <sigh> The mysteries of electronics...you know.

I found a G talk app and bought it. So far, it seems to work ok. Better than nothing, as I use my ipad sitting on my sofa watching tv a lot, and also chat frequently on Google Talk (usually on my phone). This makes it so much better not to miss out on ppl contacting me if my phone is not nearby (like on the charger).

IMO.im It's free and works great on the ipad. It tabs your chats if you're chatting with more than one person and allows push notifications so you don't miss a chat even if you don't have the app running.

IM+ is another great multi messenger, it also supports GoogleTalk and allows you to send/receive images straight from the app.
