gmail from safari

I have not been able to access gmail from safari from my ipad1 for the last two days.
There is a system error which reads as follows
error on line 72 at column 8.opening and ending tag mismatch.input line 0 and form.
i tried reset does not work.Can any one help please.

Go into Settings > Safari. Clear the cache and cookies. If present (iOS 4 only) go into the Database and clear any mention of Google). In iOS 5, go into the Advanced settings, Website Data, and do the same.

Let us know if that doesn't do the job.
