I just got an IPad2 and set up my gmail account. I've decided I don't want my gmail account on it but when I went to delete it, it gave me a warning that my gmail account would be deleted. Does that mean it will delete it only on my Ipad or will it completely delete it so that I no longer can view my messages on my PC?

If you delete from iPad, it affects only iPad, not other devices.

While I don't think I have ever deleted an EMail account (worked first time, haven't changed), I find it inconcievable that Keykaykay is incorrect.

If you are still concerned, I would first attempt this with your internet connection disabled. This would, in my mind, guarantee that the only modification would be to the iPad.

This is 100% correct, don't know why some state otherwise.

I've deleted Gmail accounts on iDevices multiple times. It has never affected anything but that device.
