Australia's excellent Halfbrick Games has today announced that it has submitted the iPad HD version of it's smash hit iPhone game Fruit Ninja for release on July 11th. If you've yet to hear about this tasty gaming treat, let me tell you that the iPhone version has just passed the one million copies sold mark this week after only being on sale for 74 days. It has taken up residence in the US paid apps top ten for 60 out of those 74 days and is still there now. Halfbrick has built on and added to the game's success by constantly updating it, and I'm sure they'll do the same with the iPad HD version.
According to Halfbrick, Fruit Ninja HD will expand on the current Fruit Ninja gameplay (which entails slashing fruit, ninja-like!), with the addition of amazing HD graphics and two new multiplayer split-screen modes. That's about all Halfbrick is prepared to give away about it at the moment, but the iPhone screenshot above should at least give you some idea of how the iPad version will look, only much better, of course!
