From iTunes to ipad

I down loaded an app to mt computer in iTunes..... But I can't figure out how to get it to my iPad. The ones I bougt through the iPad sink's to the computer..... But I cant't get the ones boug on the computer into the iPad

It's "sync" not sink.

But that being said, if you downloaded it to your iTunes, did you plug your computer in and sync it? You have to have "sync apps" checked.

I did hook the iPad back up to the computer. I tried to do what I thought would be the sync activity but it kind of looked like that screen was greed out with some ops with checks nd ome not.
