Hi there and welcome.

Normally there is a little i hidden away on one of the screens or a gear wheel and often the instructions are hidden away within these so just have a press to see. You can also google the name of the app (along with the word "iPad") and you will find the developers website where they may have instructions.

There is lots of good advice and info on here plus plenty of members all too willing to help with any problems.

Remember, search is your friend.......and please don't forget to read the rules http://www.ipadforums.net/forum-rules-help-info/2119-forum-rules-everybody-please-read.html & hacking section rules for all you jail breakers (and would be jail breakers) http://www.ipadforums.net/ipad-hacking/2892-hacking-section-rules-please-read.html

We also have an app for this forum. A link to download the app is: Discussion Forum for iPad Users for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on the iTunes App Store

Welcome to the forum from a fellow Oregonian! There are a lot of great people here willing to lend a hand anytime. Often using the search feature (in the toolbar at the top of every page) will lead you to the answers you're looking for. If not, feel free to post a question in the appropriate area.

Please take a moment to view the information linked below my signature to get the most out of your iPad as well as our forum.

As Gabriel pointed out, most apps have a help area of some nature either built into the app or a link to the developer's website. If not, you can usually find a link to the developer's website by finding the app in the iTunes Store...or you can Google it and find more information, user forums, etc. Sometimes they make it a little harder in this day of electronic information, but it's better than killing trees for books that end up collecting dust on a shelf or adding to landfills IMHO. ;)

BTW, I moved your post to the iPad Help area where you're likely to get a better response to your questions.

Welcome again and enjoy!
