Facetime audio issue

I have been trying to use facetime with my cousin.

I am using an iPad 2 (ios5) while she has it on her macbook Pro. I can hear her but she can't hear me. I checked my settings to check whether it was on mute but nothing changed.

I used Skype just to check my mic issues and the audio is fine there.

Is there problem with my Facetime app?

Been communicating with my aunt the same way you do. Mac and iPad. Facetime and skype. We're doing just fine. I think she needs to check her settings.
