Hi Guys,

I have about 5TB of external storage that I want to make available to the Ipad via wifi. What is the best way to do this so that the Ipad can see and use it?

Thanks

Take an older computer and create a NAS server with a wireless router. This way you also use for backup any computer on the same network.
Thats what comes to my mind.

Would putting them in network caddies and hooking them up to my router work?? Would the Ipad be able to use the space??

If they are 2.5" SATA drives you could consider TonidoPlug. It has a built in browser based file manager, media browser etc that can be accessed via Safari.

I would think that if you create SMB shares, it would also work well with FileBrowser etc as well.

If not, there may also be WiFi desk caddies with similar features, basically embedded Linux and management tools.
