Hi, I live in Germany but as a native english speaker and a beginner to iPad, I am looking to buy an Ipad2 which I can use here in Germany but with all menus and apps in english - anybody in the same boat, anyone already "been there done that"?

Have you already found out whether you get better value for money buying from UK, US or Germany when resident in Germany?

Thanks for your advice!

Go on & buy it. I am also a native english speaker living in the Basque Country, in SETTTINGS you can configure the language you want to use, though your purchases will be limited to the German online app store. That said, most apps are primarily in English. Then you can install/activate different international keyboards eg. I have English & Spanish installed, cos letters like ñ for example don't exist in English.

If this is your only worry, get your ass down the shop tomorrow !!!

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.
