Received an email and it would not delete. Every time it would go back to home page and any other emails I deleted would return. I deleted the whole mailbox. Went into mailbox online and deleted all emails and readded mailbox on ipad and now says 2 new emails but nothing in box. Any ideas how to fix the indicator.

Are you using the POP or IMAP mail protocols. With POP the iPad copies the emails to the iPad, where they are kept locally. Deleting an email from the iPad doesn't necessarily delete it from the server. With IMAP the iPad is a 'window' onto your email server - emails deleted from the iPad are deleted from the server.

If the iPad email indicator shows unread received emails and they're not in your InBox, check they're not in Spam - or some such other folder that you've created on your email server, where incoming emails may be directed immediately, without appearing in your InBox.
