Display photos from ipad to projector

Cannot find a straightforward answer. Have ipad and vga set up, have tried a couple of apps but cannot get iphoto photos to display one at a time. Help?

The Photo app does not support display out for individual images. You can start a Slideshow, that will show the images on your connected projector, but it is not a good solution, because if you switch between images manually, does the display out stop and will only resume, once you restart the slideshow.

If you are jail broken, the app DisplayOut, may be of use.
