Now for 3 months, I have been unable to update any apps on IPad or IPhone. I have had two appointments with the Apple store and 3 1/2 hours on the phone trying to correct this. We have reset my password 15 times ( my email states that my email has been reset). In reality, nothing has changed. I would really appreciate anyone with an idea to fix this problem.

Have you tried updating the apps through iTunes, it might recognise the password on there. If it does then reset it on iTunes and try to sign in later through your iPhone with the new password.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Try this....go to the App Store through the settings app. Press on your ID and then sign out. Do a reset of your iPad - Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you may see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. It will take a little longer for your iPad to start.
Now go back to the App Store through settings and sign back in.

I've moved your thread to our Help Section where you will receive a better response.

Please do not post twice on your issue as it divides the information given and makes it confusing for members to follow. It is also against our Forum Rules, your other post has now been deleted.
