Deleting photo albums

How do I delete an entire photo album on my ipad2? When I hit edit everything is greyed out and I can't delete.

If the photo album was synced from iTunes you can't delete directly on iPad, what you need to do is resync it again via iTunes and uncheck the selection of the photo album.
Only photos on Camera Roll can be deleted directly on iPad.
