delete old email addresses

how do I delete old email addresses

I purchased a friends ipad 2. Synced it with my computer and set up my email accounts and aps. All works fine however when in safari and I want to forward a link, to someone, all of the previous owners contacts come up. I looked in the "contacts" icon and they are NOT there. they only come up when forwarding mail from safari. How do I delete these contacts?

Have you tried clearing the history and data in safari settings?

Did that...cleared history and cookies and data

According to this apple forum https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3026070?start=15&tstart=0 you can only clear old email adress with restore.
