Dead iPad

I was playing a game last night and this morning I can't open the whole pad. It is in the charger. How long before I can check it to see if that's all it was, a dead battery?

Any time you want! Just press the Sleep/Wake button on top of your iPad and see what happens. You won't hurt anything by doing that.

I'm not getting anything.....now what?

You might want to try disconnecting it from the charger then holding down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button and see if it restarts.
