Hi every one had my i pad a little while now its the i pad 1 64gig with WiFi & blue tooth

had computer problem running windows XP service pack 3 everthing was going so well till I had to remove I tunes from the computer & deleted all the itunes library from the computer re installed i tunes & thought everything was all right but my ipad will not back up now to the computer.
Idont understand why the message it keeps giving isi tunes could not back up the i pad david jones i pad because the backup could not be saved on the computer
