For the past two weeks all of our devices have been getting a "can't connect to server" message. I called Apple and they advised a soft shut down which worked for a few times but is no longer effective. The WIFI in the house is fine. I'm not techy in any way so I have no idea what is wrong or how to fix it. Can anyone advise? I have an i-pad 2, and daughters have i-phones.

My two cents worth is your modem router is the issue. Please shut down the modem and restart then try again with at least one iOS device .... Advise out come.. Do not try with every device ember it is like cooking be patient test the waters first.

Hello and welcome to the forum - there have already been posts & links suggesting that you power recycle your modem & router - below is part of a quoted post that I left in one of the links given - let us know if those maneuvers help - good luck! Dave :)

............... 'power recycle' your modem and router (if separate devices), i.e. pull the power (or turn off the switch if present) - wait about 30 seconds, then re-power your modem first, wait again, and re-power your router - see if that helps. I re-power my modem several times a week which invariably gets us reconnected to the internet - good luck.....
