Compatible power plug?

I bought an iPad 4 last week and it came with a power plug that is different than that of my iPhone 5. My question is, is it safe to use the iPhone 5 power plug and USB cord to charge my iPad 4 or should I stick with the one that came with the iPad? It would be a lot easier to just use one cord and plug for both the iPhone and iPad but I don't want to damage my new iPad.

While it is perfectly safe to charge your iPad with your iPhone charger, the iPhone charger doesn't supply the same power as the iPad charger and will take much longer to charge your iPad. http://store.apple.com/ca/question/...e-charger-to-charge-my-ipad/Q479DK9X4TKU22DC7
