Cant turn of i pad

Anyone counter this problem can't turn off I pad Help please.

If you hold the power button on it's own for a few seconds the slide to power off banner appears. I assume the OP has tried this and it won't turn off...? Sometimes it hangs with a spinning wheel, usually because a process has hung. It's nothing to worry about, so if this is your situation, try this...

Hold both buttons down for 10 seconds. The iPad will reset at about the 7 second mark. Release both buttons and you should see the Apple logo and the iPad will reboot. Press the power button for a second if the Apple logo does not appear.
Then, once it had rebooted, you will finally be able to turn it off properly by holding the power button and sliding to power off...

You need to hold the Power and the Home button together until the white Apple logo appears - have faith - it will appear. The iPad will then reboot.
