Can't Find Any Monsters To Level Up On Chaos Rings

Is getting frustraiting I am at level 9 and I am not getting any random encounters anymore. Is this normal or a glitch? what can I do?

Forget it i had turned off the random encounters.

Is this a dungeon crawler game with a huge dungeon or a large open type world with lots of mini dungeons, or no dungeons?

I like dungeon games!
