Can't delete one email

I have been working with my new iPad for about 2 weeks and suddenly have one email that I can't delete. When I try to delete it, a pop up says "Unable to Move Message - the message could not be moved to the mailbox Trash." I get a similar message when I try to move it to a different folder. Within the body of the email there is a message as follows: "this message has not been downloaded from the server." I have no idea if this has any significance.

I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions.

I have exactly the same problem with just one email and its driving me nuts
