Good day all,
The saga continues for me to get a dvd playable on my iPad.
Last night I ripped 'Into the Wild' to a mp4 format. It worked, I now have the entire movie (sans all the other junk) in mp4 format. I imported it into iTunes and went to sync my iPad and i got the following notice upon completion of sync:
'The movie Into_The_Wild was not synced as it cannot be played on this iPad'
Hmmmm...So, is it because I don't have a certain player app on my iPad? Did I convert it at too high of settings (I tried to follow Numblock's sweet spot post best I could)? Or something else.
I ripped the DVD directly to mp4 via the platinum edition of Winx DVD.
Noteworthy Settings below:
Kind: MPEG-4 video file
Size: 2.62 GB
Bit Rate: 127 kbs
Profile: Low Complexity
Channels: Stereo
Encoded with: DigiArty AV Encoder Core
Total Bit Rate: 2527 kbps
Video Dimensions: 1200x720
Video Codec: MPEG-4
I really thought I had this nailed, but maybe either I don't have an app on my iPad to launch this, i.e. Quicktime or whatever, or my settings are way off? If the later is true, I don't know how to easily manipulate the current MP4 that I have. Is there a way to do that, if that's the problem.
Thanks in advance for all of your comments, direction...
Cheers,
M
