As you are Jailbroken I have moved this to the correct part of the forum for you (the Hacking section). Posting in the correct place is more likely to get you a suitable response.

I suggest you open Cydia and remove anything which allows you to adjust the transparency of icons or the springboard. Alternatively open Settings and check the transparency settings for apps or tweaks in a similar way. Candidates may be Alphacon, Sprintomize, etc.

And you should always CHECK what is being updated. Cydia does not force you. It tells you there are updates and allows you to choose to install them or not. Blindly accepting updates is a sure fire way to get yourself into trouble since you have no idea which app or tweak was updated! ;)

You had therefore activated the "Dim Icons" theme in Winterboard, which makes sense... You choose which themes to apply in Winterboard by ticking the relevant theme names. If you reload it, make sure "Dim Icons" is NOT ticked and your problems will be solved.

@f4780y: after doing your advise and removing some installed programs from cydia, my problem with visibility of the icons solved, but cydia never starts again and none of the apps are working, and now you are telling me that I can't get help here etc etc...!
So what's the purpose of this forum when no one is helping or you are giving wrong advise which cause problem to others, you should have warned me that this may cause the cydia or other apps not to launch again!!!???

Now they are telling me to restore to 5.1 and not jailbreak able for the moment...!

Thanks for all your help and support that cause problem instead of solution.
Now you can close this thread as well ;-)

The advice I gave above was good advice. Suggesting that I gave you bad advice is a mistake.
