Apps for Apple TV

It's almost certain that Apple will allow apps on Apple TV. The only question is when. I think Apple will make the announcement along with the iPhone 5 in October.

Here is a developer that's already getting a head start.

If Apple releases an actual television it could take off like the iPhone and iPad.

I stayed with my friend this weekend and her dad has an Apple TV. I don't have a compatible TV yet nor the spare $100, but if they add more features to it, as they soon will, I'll definitely buy one.

Agreed, apps are a natural for the Apple TV2. Our Apple TV2 is jailbroken and I've added various apps...all work well.
