The literals for the App Store Category Icons (at bottum of page) are in Chinese. All other features and languages are in English per settings. How can I get the literals for the Category Icons back to English. Note sure just these icons got set to Chinese, but I am in China 3 out of 4 weeks for work purposes. Any input or help will be greatly appreciated.

Kindest regards,
Chris

When you have problems with an app it's a good idea to clear it from RAM.

Close/Clear the app: With the problem app closed, double tap on the Home button to get the multitask bar. Tap and hold on any icon in the bar until they jiggle, then tap the minus sign on the problem app. This will remove it from RAM and insure a clean start the next time you launch the app.
If that does not work try a restart,

Restart: Hold down the power button until the power off slider appears. Slide it off. When the iPad finishes shutting down, hold down the power button again until the Apple logo appears.

and then a reset if that does not work.

Reset: Hold down the power and home buttons until the Apple logo appears. The iPad will reboot. This usually takes a bit longer than a restart.

Also, with the various iStores it sometimes helps to log out, then back in. You'll find your Apple ID at the bottom of most tabs in the stores. Tap on it for account and login/out options.

Many thanks. To better clarify, the issue is not with a specific app, but rather with the App Store and the various icons displayed at the bottum of the App Store page. The literals for the icons are in Chinese. All works fine and all other aspects are in English. It's just annoying that the icon literals are in Chinese.

I did try the reset as I had not known of this.

Again many thanks and hope I have better clarified the issue.

The App Store is still and app. It's actually a specialized browser for the App Store portion of iTunes. These fixes often help. It sounds like you tried all the fixes I mentioned, but if you didn't, please do.

I did not understand what you meant by literals. I'm guessing you mean that the buttons at the bottom of the page are in Chinese. That sounds like the system language, but that would affect the entire iPad; or the store's country, but that should affect everything in the store. So it doesn't make sense.

You can check the system language by going to Settings > General > International.

To make sure you have the right store log out and back in. The button you need (since it is in Chinese) is the one on the left bottom of the Featured tab's page. Tap it and sign out. Go ahead and close the store, and clear it from ram as described above. Then open the store and tap the same button to sign in.

That's all I can think of at the moment.
