There was discussion about low ratings on some apps and it was mentioned that a lot had to do with rate on delete. This has now been changed by Apple, much to the thrill of many developers.

That's great to hear. iBooks was getting slammed by iPhone/iPod Touch cry babies who were complaining that they didn't get iBooks for their devices.

there have been a lot of apps that have gotten unfair low ratings because people were too stupid to understand they couldn't install them on their iPhone. That should not be allowed! You should only be able to rate on the device! Not iTunes.

This is indeed good news. It stands to reason if you are deleting an app, you at the very least did not find it useful. Soni am sure that most of the ratings done at that time would be negative. Perhaps now, overntime, the ratings will become more balanced.

I think the problem wasn't that people were deleting apps because they weren't useful its that they were downloading them on iTunes then found out they couldn't install it on their iPhone and rated it a 1 as a result. That is not fair to developers. Get an iPad if you want it that badly!
