i thought my iPad was bricked but when i picked it up earlier to try to fix it again i noticed when applying pressure to the screen my lock screen will flash momentarily. would you guys agree that this is most likely a screen malfunction?

yes you have loose connection to the screen inside. Take it in to the apple store.

Remember to remove jailbreaking first, that's if you had.
