Airprint, ipad2 to HP Photosmart Plus

Hi all,
I am new to this forum/blog. I have an ipad2 and just purchased an HP Photosmart Plus wireless printer. I cannot print from the ipad2 even though the ipad recognizes the printer. I have updated all firmware and have the latest version of ipad2. Does anyone know how to print wirelessly? Would I have to do so by sending emails to eprint email assigned by HP? Thanks.

You say the iPad recognises the printer. By this, do you mean that, when you try to print, your HP printer is listed as an available printer in the iPad's in-app printing menu - say from within Pages or another app that supports in-app printing? Remember not all apps support printing.
