I put my iPad 2 through the airport security scanner (in a bin) and went to use it immediately thereafter to find it very warm to the touch. Not hot... but certainly very warm on its metal backside that is usually cool or room temp. What happens during the scan to cause this heat and what else is the scanner doing to the internals of an iPad?
