You cannot download software onto the iPad directly. You have to go through the App Store.

Did you try looking there?

I think too, though I may be wrong, (I usually am...:( )that this is the SDK for developing Adobe AIR apps. There is nothing to download onto the iPad. AIR is iPad compatible, but you have to develop the app using the Adobe SDK.

From Adobe's site. "iOS devices: AIR apps for iOS install a "captive" version of Adobe AIR; therefore, users do not install a dedicated version of AIR."

What function comes from getting this Air from Adobe. I just wish I could get Flash from Adobe!

Again, as I posted in another one of your threads, Flash cannot (and probably will not ever) be used on the iPad.

See this sticky for details: http://www.ipadforums.net/ipad-faq/54703-flash-ipad.html

Have you seen recent announcement about adobe making a server type arrangement &...well, 2 ways that Flash will be made available for use by those like us who cannot get it? I felt as though it was written for me! I'd like to know how to set more extensive Java settings so that some other things would work. What can be enabled, I have done but apparently, it isn't enough. These iPad2 are great with that being one limitation. Another is not being able to use Firefox which I desperately miss. For one thing, with FF, I can set it to remember my passwords, encrypted, of course but my brain cannot keep up with all of the various passwords & heaven forbid when one needs to be reset, then, I'm really sunk. Look for that announcement by Adobe, it's exciting & hopeful. Bye, S
