FDG Entertainment has today launched the HD iPad version of its popular top-down iPhone RPG, Across Age, developed by Japanese RPG specialists, Exe-Create. As well as the new HD graphics, the iPad release has a bonus dungeon and boss fight previously unavailable elsewhere. If, like me, you're a fan of old-school top-down RPGs with the tiny little people, then you need to check this game out. Across Age is the first old-school Zelda-style action RPG to include real environmental puzzles, all the while looking like an old Secret of Mana-style SNES or Genesis game. Across Age offers 15 hours of classic 2D action-RPG gameplay, complete with exciting story, anime cutscenes, and all the monsters, puzzles and locations an RPG fan could ever want.

In the game, you get to play as two switchable, co-operative characters - swordsman Ales and magician Ceska - each of who has their own unique fighting style and puzzle-solving methods. If that sounds and looks like the sort of game you could happily devote hours to playing on your iPad, get yourself to the App Store tomorrow when it's released for $7.99.

Sorry, I can't play any game that doesn't know the difference between "your" and "you're". It's been 25 years since we first started getting Japanese games, I would have hoped they'd have grasped simple contractions by now. ;)

You´re wrong, Prasius. The grammar is perfectly correct

Exactly. Indeed "you're" wouldn't even make sense in that context.

I grabbed it and haven't played much, the thing I noticed that's really annoying is the d-pad is WAY too big. It's the iPhone pad on the iPad and it's not comfortable at all...hopefully they fix that. And it seems to be pretty choppy...but I don't know how smooth the iPhone version was.
