Just picked up my new iPad 2 last week. Just curious about a few things. I want to use my iPad as an e-reader and notetaker. Which apps are the best for finding my textbooks? Which apps are the best for taking notes? I am thinking I will buy a pen that I can use on iPad and take notes that way. So which apps are good for handwriting with a digital pen? For those textbooks which I cannot download, I plan on buying the physical books and scanning the pages into the iPad myself. Which apps would be good for that? I know there are scanner apps which can apparently transfer them into PDF form. Does anyone have experience with this?

Definitely do not regret my decision this incredible device! It's completely adorable!

Thanks guys in advance!

I just got one myself and I'm loving it. The two note programs I use are Noteshelf and UPad . Upad you can edit PDF files with stylus but I like Noteshelf the best for handwriting. I've tried a bunch and I think those are the best so far.

Congratulations! We can't post links to our own blogs (per the forum rules), but you can visit mine from the link in my profile. The short answer to some of your questions is: amazin, note taker hd, elements, Evernote, I annotate, Targums/griffin stylus, Fujitsu scans nap/camera/office quality flatbed scanner (300-600 dpi/b+w).

There are great threads on these forums and all over the Internet with other apps / reviews.
