iOS7 - getting screenshots to windows

Thanks all. It turned out the iPad just needed to reconfirm the PC as "trusted" and all is good. Would have been a pain to work that out without the clue about locking, though, and it's useful to know about the possibility of wireless transfer, so your tips are much appreciated.

iOS7 - getting screenshots to windows

Thanks for the suggestion. I bypassed the lock feature when I upgraded, but I don't think I actually "opened" the iPad (i.e. swiped to start) when I connected it. Didn't used to have to do that before the upgrade. I can try later (at work now) but if that doesn't sound like the issue, further...

iOS7 - getting screenshots to windows

Hi, I finally decided to upgrade to iOS7 on my iPad 4 over the weekend. The update went fine. But under iOS 6 when I connected the device to my Windows 7 PC, it was recognised as an external drive and I could get photos, videos and screenshots off it and onto my desktop without any fuss at...

Bad time to buy 4th gen iPad?

Sorry, obviously not familiar enough with the rules on this forums to know better. The reason I'm in panic mode? Well, I'm a freelance game journalist, tasked with writing a review of a fairly comprehensive new hardware/software combo for the iOS platform for two sites with deadlines in late...

    *bump* Any other opinions?

Bad time to buy 4th gen iPad?

Thanks. I'm not bothered by not having the latest hardware. What worries me is that the price on refurbished 4th gen models might drop £40-60 when the 5th gen comes out so I could make a substantial saving by waiting a week.

Bad time to buy 4th gen iPad?

Hi, I'm in semi-urgent need of a new iPad - I've got some hardware and software that need reviewing before Sept 20th, and they don't work with my old iPad 1. There are currently refurbished 4th gen models in the Apple store and I was about to hit buy, however ... ... I'm concerned this is a...

    Cinexplayer

Thanks for checking. Are you using a composite cable as opposed to the more usual HDMI cable?

    Cinexplayer

Does anyone know how this performs through an AV composite cable? I tried it the other day and although the AVI was playing fine on my iPad itself, the feed through to the TV was very, very choppy, almost unwatchably so. I don't have an "official" apple cable, so I'm wondering whether it's the...

    Co-operative games for children

Hi, Loving the software on my new v1 iPad so far, but there's one thing I feel I'm missing. I'd like to be able to play a real-time co-operative game with my eldest daughter, who is five, so that we can enjoy the machine together and get some social time out of it. But I can't find any sort...

Choppy frame rate through AV cable

Hi, I recently got a v1 iPad and, not wanting to pay the somewhat outrageous cable prices direct from Apple, bought a composite AV cable (the sort with the red, white, yellow plugs for an old cathode-ray TV) online for half the price. Now I'm playing AVI files through the CineXplayer app...
