    Cracked screen (digitizer) Screen protector question

    My iPad 2 took a fall and the left 15% of the screen (digitizer) is cracked. The iPad works perfectly. Has anyone installed a screen protector over the screen to continue to use the iPad? Thanks.

    screensaver necessary?

    I am using a "clock" app which is on the screen constantly. Is there any harm of burning the screen or does the ipad use a different kind of display?
