Mail, Contacts and calendar work well with native iPad apps. If your IT people allow Outlook to sync to mobile devices. Tasks require a third party app. I use TaskTask. It works well.

Take a look at Phatpad. It is by the same company as Writepad and allow drawing and handwritten notes. Plus it does recognition. I am still holding out hope for an iPad version of OneNote. But I have to admit, hope is fading.

Same here. I finally gave up and started using MyPad. Right now, I think I like MyPad better. I like the Twitter like interface. Kept Friendly on my iPad, try to use every once and a while, but it just does not seem to want to work right.

I use TaskTask because it syncs very nicely with Exchange server. I can then use Outlook and the iPad for tasks. Keeps everything nicely in sync. I am not a big task/to do list maker, so this fits my needs. I do wish both Outlook and TaskTask would allow for subtasks in an outline type format.

+1 for Writepad. The handwriting recognition is very good if you write large and slow. Like you were taught in 2nd-3rd grade. And it gets better the more you use it.

I used Drync on the iPhone, but they don't have an iPad version. Tried wine cellar HD, but did not like it as much. I have not found anything for iPad I am willing to pay money for as of yet. I hope others have suggestions.

QuickOffice had worked well for me, I don't do a ton of editing. Just simple stuff. Also like it's file management and favorites function to be able to work on documents while on a plane or other places that I am offline. Integrates with DropBox nicely also.

I like TweetDeck on the PC. I have it loaded on the iPad, but still use the official app more. If TweetDeck would give the same option to get the Facebook feed on iPad as it has on the PC, it would become my primary app.

I have not tried it, but loading a task app then synch through iTunes should do it. I don't think there is a way to "push" things from Outlook without and exchange server. You can also set up Google Sync, and then synch everything from Gmail. I was doing that for a while at home.

Richard, Go to the General Settings and tap on Mail. Then tap on the account that is your exchange server. The settings that are listed (Domain, server name, etc) are what I used and it worked perfectly. Scott

I just bought Task Task today. So far works great. I had difficulty at first configuring it to the Exchange server at work. But once I figured it out, works like a champ. Both tasks and flagged tasks are there, categories, dates, etc. So far it has been worth the money.
