Connecting a ipad3 to a vacuum tube hifi equipment

You have a respectable system for analog playback. But you've just opened a huge can of warm with your new iPad. First you must consider the music format before getting your music. Just like in the analog world, the quality varies a great deal. The best is the ripped SACD but takes a huge...

    Shut Down Timer Help Please

Hayles, How would Tunein allow you to "access your own music?" Can you shed some light? I don't even know Tunein Pro has this feature and couldn't find it anywhere.

Is the iPad 3 Camera Active all the time,? or only when being used.

I never thought of it this way. But then I received an email a few days ago from my ISP claiming that there was an RIAA complaint against my web activity. Can't be too careful...

New ipad battery depletion while plugged in

Unlike the AMOLED which doesn't use back light, iPad's current retina LCD screen replies on LED to provide the light. As you increase the brightness, the LED consumes more power. I really cannot understand why people b*itch about battery depletion/usage while in the same time give their LED...

New ipad battery depletion while plugged in

Nice to know some M/B have this near-useless feature... LOL With that said, I noticed that in my boost magic app charging sequence showed my iPad being charged at 3 different stages. First it was the standard fast+trickle charge to 100% as the iPad indicator also shows. But then it was...

Without taking any closer look, I've got a feeling that the OP was plugging in the USB port of the PC and assume it would charge just like the normal 10W power supply.

New Ipad (3rd Gen) camera quality prob

I suggest you find some 3rd party camera software such as PowerCam or ZoomCam and try your frontal camera using them instead of the built-in camera app (which IMO simply stinks).

    Windows explorer equivalent in Ipad?

For photo management, Tex's suggestion is right on. The alternative could be PhotoManagerPro which I like a lot. However, there is nothing on iPad that is truely Explorer-like. I've tried FileExplorer which fairly close but still no cigar since it cannot associate any external application...

    iTunes Wireless Sync problem

Actually in your case you should have a good chance to get it back to work. Here are some tricks that I've gathered (excluding the ones that I've tried but didn't work according to Apple Support Forum). Priorities as the following -- 1. Disable all firewall and see if the problem is still...

LOL. I appreciate your honesty. No, iPad doesn't sync with your time capsule, it sync with iTunes on your PC/Mac. But your time capsule does keeps a copy of your iTune.

    Ipad 3 battery

I have installed Boost Magic and System Status. Unless the battery is at 100% or 0, then the percentage of all three could be all over the place but each within 1~3% of each other. And I remember Skull said something about iPad battery indicator is particularly inaccurate at high % due to...

    Third iPad3 with assorted issues

If you examine every object in such a critical manner, your life will be a very unrewarding experience since it will be filled with one disappointment after another. iTunes Wireless Sync problem

Although I experienced the same problem as you and shared the same frustration, I must say that in your setting "SOMETHING" was indeed "CHANGED." And it is likely to be caused by streaming software or network-related stuff that prevent the firewall from behaving properly. I got mine to work...

    Case or just smart cover?

iPad with only the magnetically attached smart cover is perhaps not the best idea if you need to walk around with it. The magnet holds the pieces pretty good except when you close the cover and grab the iPad with fingers only. If your fingers somehow slide or slip on the smart covers end, the...

    iTunes Wireless Sync problem

This is most under-rated and under-appreciated problem since the iOS 5.0 update. So many moving parts and so little Apple help. Based on my experience, the firewall is the number one suspect; immediately followed by routers settings, assuming everything else has been properly set up. Try to...

Problem with 3.5 jack NEW iPad

This is not an iPad problem. This is caused by your earbuds or headset. If the earbuds have volume and on off switch, it will usually cause some problem. I tried this on 3 headsets and confirmed this. Just get a headset without those switch, the problem will go away.

    Question About the New Screen

Actually this is opposite to my experience. Because of the sharper image and small fonts being more legible, I tend not to zoom in during reading and after a while, my eyes get strained a lot worse which caused me to have an headache which I never suffered before during prolonged reading on my...

Who's made the jump from 1st gen to 3rd gen?

I think you're onto something. The latest drop test on Youtube showed iPad 3 is the most fragile of the 3. The screen won't survive any drop higher than 3 feet. You could be right about the glass thickness...

    Screen Seperation on iPad 3

Mind you my case was different. It was out of warranty by the time I replace it and it certainly wasn't a defect. To be perfectly honest, my unit was pretty banged up and suffered a water damage (with portion of the screen mildly discolored) so the battery was just to nudge the service person...

    Screen Seperation on iPad 3

I don't think Apple will replace it with a refurbished unit in this case. However, when I replace my original iPad since its battery went out, I paid $99 and got a refurbished unit. I couldn't tell by its cosmetics, however. if I didn't ask, I wouldn't have guessed.

    Charging Issue

Then I don't think it's vibration. It's more like low frequency (50Hz since you're in UK) resonance or hum some time you hear from poorly grounded Hi-fi system.

    iPad vs iPhone capacity

Apps size is now the biggest gripe from iPad 1 and 2 owners. They are forced fed with all the apps updates to accommodate features that they don't have. I'd be pretty pissed off too if I haven't got my new iPad.

iPad 3 HD Video Test - Lufthansa A380 Landing

The camera that came with iPad is very primitive. There is nothing to play with other than pressing the shutter. I bought a bunch of camera apps and toyed with them with fairly good results. Although the quality couldn't quite match the output of my now rarely used SLR, but they come awfully...

    64GB Model Usage

I believe your usage depends on your iPad size and you will work around it now matter what. I had the 64G original and never used more than 32G. Bought the 32G on launch day and quickly got panic after filling it up to the rim within 3 days. Bought the 64G last Thursday and guess what, it's...
