After a while, Apple stops updating older devices so that you cant download apps and have to buy the latest hardware.

Not sure exactly, dont feel like counting but about 4 pages of apps.

When you open an app always remember to close it when your done. Im able to use my iPad for ten hours with max brightness and wifi. Also, make sure bluetooth is off.
