Just a thought - will it mean the "gps" aspects of a 3G iPad will work? eg will Google Maps know where I am when it is switched on?

I noticed an offer from "3" in the UK who will sell a MiFi jobbie for £50 and a £10 PAYG sim for 3G access to their network. Seems like good value. Any UK guys know of a better way to go?

Yes, it is the latest and "greatest". Just tried uninstalling and installing again, no change.

iPlayer and a variety of video players I have tried seem to have problems syncing the soundtrack with the video. Furthermore, it seems to wander in and out of sync as I watch. Anyone else seen this issue?

I had that problem. It turned out that my previous iTunes sync operation had buggered up things, leaving me with exactly the symptom you describe. Sync again, making sure you do indeed have music on the pad. Should be OK then.

What you mean is, you didn't know what the cost of the item was when you ordered it? I would say it sounds like it's your fault, not theirs....

The Airport Express - so it does NOT need to be tethered to a router or modem with ethernet cable? I can jut plug it in some place else in the house and it'll work wirelessly a a kind of WIFI "booster"? So I could use the pad in the garden, for example?

I am sure, if you dload the SDK, which I did some time ago, that it tells you the process. I didnt get further than a cursory read, as I now realise I'd need a Mac to develop for it :mad:
