My review: biggest issue: book reading aps are not up to par.

Gizmodo today (link): From Amazon: Kudos to Amazon. I'm going to buy a Kindle, now, definitely. EXACTLY what I was pointing at in my review. Your turn, Apple!

iPad install on my 08' Sequoia

Have you seen their console mounts? Maybe that will work for you. What I like about the proclip is that they are very sturdy over bumps, when touching the screen etc. Very well designed. And I think you can adapt their adapters to your needs, in my case, I could fit it into any flat spot on...

iPad install on my 08' Sequoia

Thank you! I bought it from Pro-Clip USA, http://www.proclipusa.com/; the model with the pass-through connector (so that I can use the AV cable and wire it for the rear passengers too), while also charging it. But the battery lasts very well, so even the cheap one may be enough for most. I...

iPad install on my 08' Sequoia

So finally I decided to use the pro-clip mounting solution to install my iPad in the Sequoia. I bought the expensive one with the pass-through cable to the dock connector, works like a charm. Very secure connection and very easy to slide the iPad in. Some pictures: 1. Dash without the iPad...

    IPad swing arm mount?

I just cancelled my Ram Mount order with GPSCity. The wait is simply ridiculous. I ordered one in June, together with the iPad. We're almost in September now. Going to get a pro-clip mount I think, because you can dock the iPad and charge it/use line out etc. (they have a pass through...

    Just ordered my car mount...

I ordered my ram mount in June, and I'm still waiting! They postponed it three times already.

Do you regret jailbreaking your iPad?

No.1 reason to jailbreak an iPad is to be able to use background. It's fast enough to handle most tasks in the background and it's a shame Apple didn't allow it from start. As soon as I get my 3G 64, I start Pandora, press and hold the home button and off I go browsing or playing with apps...

Do you regret jailbreaking your iPad?

Nope. J/b is a necessity for me. I would sell mine without it.

Augen 7" Android Tablet, $149 at K-Mart: iPad killer?

I think you're both way way wrong (or are just terribly thin skinned), ignore them safely OP. :)

Augen 7" Android Tablet, $149 at K-Mart: iPad killer?

I like it a lot. I can see this in my headrest for the passengers to enjoy. Better than those Coby DVD players with 8 bit games? Cheaper for sure.

    Second Gen iPad this year

Yeah, I don't believe it's going to happen that soon. What I really want to see on the next iPad would be a smaller size/lighter. Same screen, but no bezels, or much smaller.

CNET’s 10 Reasons Why iOS 4 Will Rock on iPad

Thanks, that makes sense. But I wouldn't be afraid of the graphic load on an app like Pandora, which practically just display album art and song info for updates. Any decent game on the App store is likely to have more graphic intensive rendering than most that would be useful in a split...

    Second Gen iPad this year

I think the 7" would sell a lot for in car use. It easier to install it in a double din opening. I take it 7" is the device size, if it's the screen size plus large bezel, than the 5.6 would be better.

CNET’s 10 Reasons Why iOS 4 Will Rock on iPad

Can somebody explain to me how running two apps in onw screen is any different than running two, three or four in the background? I mean the video memory is constant, no matter how many apps you run. Suppose you open Pandora, put it on the background and then you launch some nav or traffic...
