It is now working again with no apparent changes to settings or anything else - Thank you for your help and time.

Gone through all that - still messages are stuck in outbox. Could it be something in settings / set up of mail accounts? Cheers

sending replies from PC does not come up with a failure notice just from the Pad which suggests there is no problem with the server per se.

Replying to my own messages is fine.

If I send a test mail to myself ..no problem. If I try to respond to an e-mail from someone else (any domain) i get the message taht tyhe address was rejected by the server. Thanks for your help

My own home network

After many successful e- mails now I keep getting the same message when I go to send e-mails 'the recipient ...was rejected by the server. If I send one to my own address it gets through.....any ideas for a technofool whose iPad will soon be the most expensive of frisbees
