Got my 64GB 3G today at our local Apple Store. They made an announcement early on that only credit and debit cards would be accepted. No Apple, Visa, AMEX gift cards at all. About 5 people left the line since they only had cash.

Well, I got my 64GB 3G iPad! I got to our local store at 10:10 and there was 7 people in front of me. Not a bad way to spend a Friday!

When I called our local Apple store they told me they would close at 4 and reopen at 5. On the Apple website it tells you under hours for each store that they will close for an hour. I asked how early she "thought" people would start lining up and she guessed around 12 or as eary as the mall...

I think I will try that tomorrow. The guy on the phone felt really bad that I had the gift card but I said I can always find something at Apple to spend it on:p

Just called my local Apple Store and asked if I could use an Apple Store gift card and was told no. Since there is a 2 iPad limit per customer, he said that they want the ability to track your purchase by credit or debit card. What am I going to do with this $900 gift card I just got....;)
