FWIW, what eventually worked to fix my issue was a force close of all Apps. Hope this helps.

FWIW, the 'force close' option has apparently resolved my problem.. surprisingly. I will keep an eye on it for awhile yet to be fully certain... Thank you for you help. Best regards, - Nicodemus
